Comparing Weeks

~Friday 9/2 - Monday 9/5
T: drove to Wyoming with J, visits with friends in 58 degree Colorado, spends a day shopping at comic book stores in Denver, drives through Wind River Canyon on Sunday and begins hanging out with family in Wyoming on Sunday afternoon.
H:  drove to Longview with SP, spent a great evening with Nana & Pop, watched my Frogs lose to Baylor (still hurts), spends 2 1/2 relaxing days with Grandma & Grandad while wildfires begin taking over East Texas in 90 degree weather.  Ash on cars, even 30 miles from fires, but SP and I had a nice time.

~Tuesday 9/6
T:  fishing on Yellowtail lake with J, Grandpa Morris and Uncle Jim.  J caught the most fish (of course!), had a nice homemade dinner with fresh corn on the cob, etc...etc...
H:  drove home to find one of our dogs dead.  Called Bling immediately to see if her hubby could come dig the grave and help me bury Shenzi.  Ate cold Taco Casa for supper after getting SP fed and dog buried.  Began taping and floating SP's walls.

~Wednesday 9/7
T:  enjoyed a great day visiting with Uncle Bob and Aunt Cheryl in Cody and hung out at the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody.  Ate pizza for supper (although after this 4th time eating it, I'm sure T wasn't as excited as I would be to have pizza again)
H:  woke up to a dog fight at 7am.  Found the three large dogs on top of the puppy tearing into her, literally. Threw pinecones to get dogs off of her and she limped off.  Fought off dogs later to get puppy into back part of yard by herself and found she had a hole in her leg the size of a silver dollar.  A HOLE.  Fed her, watered her, doctored her.  Proceeded to finish taping and floating SP's room and cleaned house for friends coming in for the weekend.

~Thursday 9/8
T:  went back to the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody, found Nana's home in which she grew up in Powell, had a nice family dinner and was able to visit with Aunt Linda, Uncle Jim, Uncle Bill, etc... etc...
H:  Went grocery shopping for weekend with girls, began cleaning up dust from taping/floating.  Finished cleaning house, vacuum died.

~Friday 9/9
T:  spent another day just hanging out with family, packed up to start heading home on Saturday. Found out Grandma Darling from Arkansas made it up to Cody so plan on seeing her before they leave.
H:  Went to first co-op of the year, was late for first time ever because SP had a blow-out diaper as we got in the car and on the way back into the house, I noticed a black widow spider hanging right by the front door on my chalkboard, had to kill it (after taking a picture, of course).   Co-op went great, my best friend AG got to town to spend the weekend with me :-)  We arrived home and found the dogs had started digging into Shenzi's grave. Spent 20 minutes putting old fence over grave, rearranging rocks and putting dirt back in.  2 more friends arrived later to start our scrappin' girls weekend and the rest of the night was uneventful :-)

~Saturday 9/10
T:  Went to Cody to see Grandma Darling then started driving back through Colorado.  Arrived at our friend's home to spend the night and play with the kids.  In 50 degree weather.
H:  Woke up and enjoyed a morning and afternoon of my friends, some scrapping and a visit from Mville and her beautiful daughter as they drove in from Mississippi for a quick trip :-)  Watched my Frogs beat Air Force, yes!  2 friends left and AG and I went to check on puppy.  She's moving around better and hole still looks ok.  Started to smell something, realized dogs had started digging into Shenzi's grave...again.  Spent 30 minutes figuring out how to fix the old fence, add more rocks, threw on an old tire for good measure and some wood and threw more dirt into hole all while being slobbered on by stinkin' dogs.

~Sunday 9/11
T:  Driving back to Texas, yea!!!!!!  Will be home tomorrow, double YEA!!!  We miss them!
H:  Enjoyed morning sleeping in because AG woke up and fed SP for me, such a great friend :-)  We visited till about 2:30 then she had to head home.  Will be spending tonight and tomorrow painting SP's room, this I have been so excited to get going!!  Grave appears to be in no worse shape.  No dog drama...yet.

To be fair, I must add that T did end up doing work by phone for an hour or so each day from Monday on because one of the big fires has been on some land his job manages.

~So, who had the better week?  Well, I guess it all depends on if you like dealing with cannibalistic dogs or visiting family more ;-)
