This year we worked through ancient and medieval times, division (remember we started back over with math concepts to catch J up...slowly but surely it's coming together in his brain!), general science (his favorite part was geology), Spanish, spelling, grammar, writing, bible, bible study, reading and geography.
In co-op J has learned to play chess, backgammon, how to cut up a chicken, sew on a button, learned his design "style" is contemporary (yes the boys had to take home-ec, and they discovered it wasn't that bad!), read up on current events in God's World News, made a salt map of the continents, researched New Mexico and California, exercised, read and watched Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing and Hamlet, and the list could go on.
Now yes, we will be working some during the summer again...Texas History, fractions and finishing up science. But with a much more relaxed schedule ;-)
Today was the mini-beginning of our work in fractions (which he has done in the past so I'm hopeful it will come back to him easily). We don't use the blocks that come with our math program, but today I wished we had them. But then I realized we had something even more fun :-)
