I’ll be the first to admit that I occasionally forget that
I have a load of laundry in the washer…for more than a day. Surely I’m
not the only one, but it bothers me that while knowing this is a fault
of mine I still do it. So I must re-wash, which is frustrating.
How often do we start something, only to leave it and have
to start over or re-wash? In my home, it happens often…not just
laundry but craft projects, home improvement projects…we get sidetracked
or lose steam, and sometimes for good reasons like choosing to spend
time with our kids but still, things will inevitably need re-washing,
re-doing.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that God re-washes? He
forgives us over and over. He picks us up, brushes us off, shakes out
the stink and the wrinkles and gets us going again.
Because He loves
us.
It’s that simple.
He knows we have bad habits, He knows we lose
steam, he knows we have lazy days, He knows we attempt too many things
sometimes, yet as His kids, He still loves and is willing to re-wash…and
He doesn’t get frustrated or complain.
So, while I’m rearranging the towels for their second spin
this week, I can thank God for always being willing to re-wash me!
Anyone else out there glad for a good cleaning now and then?

Oh that is so me! I was worse about it when the kids were younger than I am now but it still happens. AND I am beyond thankful God continues to rewash me! He has to do it very often.
May I use this? So relevant to everyday life.
Absolutely! Hey, since I can't find you on FB anymore, send me your e-mail sometime (froggyhht@yahoo.com) so I can keep up with ya. Haven't heard from you in a couple of years but you've been on my mind friend!
