The barn

I've been told I've been a bit remiss in sharing about the barn (I'll let you guess who is reminding me...again...).

So we have a barn!

Yes, we...people who don't do horses...or cattle (yet)...have a barn, a real barn!

I know you've seen a few pics of the outside

The inside was a typical horse barn (or what I suppose is a typical horse barn?)...stalls on each side except one spot which we think was where chickens were kept at one point.  There is a hole cut out and a small fenced area to the side of the barn (as you can see above).  We are using that for the dogs, so they can go in and out of the small room in the barn to get out of the wet/cold and to get food. Works great!

Well...ok, the room works great...the fence not so much because our dogs DIG...they will dig out of anything. However they can't really bother anyone on 13 acres and are finally, we think, feeling free and happy with no fence to keep them in all the time.

The stalls on the right side have been removed, this is currently being used for storage.  The back half will become T's mancave. 

Ok, really the whole barn will be his mancave but he will have a nicer area like he had at the log house.

 Oh and have I mentioned we now have TWO tractors? This just "couldn't be passed up" or so I've been told. Does it run?  of course not...that would be crazy! T has developed a love for old tractors all of a sudden. 

And here are a few fun things we have found...

We actually just discovered this old sign...when we moved the dogs over the property we had to close this stall door for the first time and there it was!

And thanks to our friends, the Wilsons (who had to move back to Arizona :-( and couldn't take it with them), we now have a trampoline! I've always liked them so yea, I wanted one...the boys are enjoying it too ;-).  Especially J2, he and I go over sometimes and jump for awhile to get some fun exercise.
