Because it's getting late and I'm too tired to upload all the pics and give the full story (but I really need to brag a bit :) )...here is a small preview of what we did this weekend! My boy went on his first hunt. Through the generosity of Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D. and the Rocking S Ranch, he shot his first animal, an awesome black buck antelope! And he loved it, I wasn't sure how he would react. We were all able to go for the weekend and it was wonderful. The ranch was beautiful, the people were amazing and the animals were fun to watch! More details tomorrow, once I have time to set up a slide show and get links to websites for you :)
Mr. Robert and Mr. Larry, our Texas Outdoor C.H.I.L.D. guides - these guys had J in stitches most of the weekend, they were so fun to be around!
My young hunter! He had help aiming (thank you Mr. Shane! pics of him tomorrow) but J held the gun (which was a loaner from Dr. Stransky...he will be so proud!) and shot on his own, one shot, and right behind the shoulder as he has been taught by T.
Oh you KNOW how proud T is!! He was more nervous than anyone out there :~)
