Where has the week gone?

I was just posting on MCCreations and realized it's been several days since I've posted on our family blog, yikes! So, while watching the Frogs pound on Virginia, I can take a few minutes to catch you up on things around here :)

J's 3rd week of school has gone well, he is still worried about it getting hard and did have one rough afternoon, but has really done very well, despite what he thinks. We are babysitting the class gerbil this weekend and he is on Cloud 9! He's preparing for his birthday present...a pet rat...yes, we are finally going to get one and he is so excited. On Wednesday, we were hanging out w/our friends who own Madeline the mouse and he was almost more excited to play with the mouse than he was the computer games they had! That's a good sign :)

T had to leave us for a couple of days for work "off site". He was so tired when he made it home on Friday and was very glad to be back with us. We missed him for those 2 short days too! We took him to Joe's for a great dinner :) He has had a lot going on with work, and now that Cub Scouts are back in action, seems most days are gone before we know it. He's also going to be spending a lot of time in the next few weeks getting ready for his big Wyoming trip :)

I've been subbing, subbing and subbing some more, but I am off of that for a few weeks now :) Been walking, did a 10-miler last week on Thursday and will move to a 12-mile day this coming week! The feet are doing well...pinky toe is still a bit numb but I figure that's a good thing...I won't feel the blisters if they pop up, ha! And on Monday, I get to head back out to the ropes course, I can't wait! (And best of all...a trip to Java Jacks on Thursday, best coffee ever!)

Hope you are having a great weekend!

I have heard that a rat makes a wonderful pet. I don't quite know if I could handle my kids having one but, that is what I have heard.
