Prayer for family members

I hope Wednesday is finding all of you well. We are enjoying our 3rd official weekday of summer, finally slept in a little late. Unfortunately, I have take J to the doc this morning b/c he's had some kind of wierd rash on his back on and off for several days...started when we added the chemicals to the pool last week but it only appears on his back that faces the sun (mainly lower back and shoulders). And he's never had trouble w/chlorine/pools/latex, etc...so we're hoping it's just a heat rash of some kind. Just want to get it checked out before surgery on Monday.

Prayer Request: My cousins Marcie and David (my Dad's oldest brother's kids) lost their mom yesterday. She's had several different health troubles over the years and has been living close to David for the last few (lived close to Marcie here in town for many years before that so she could keep an eye on her). The funeral will be Saturday and while we are grateful she isn't suffering anymore, it's still so hard to go through these times. Please keep them all in your prayers, both Marcie and David are married and have two daughters each (1 is graduating Fri. night, 1 graduated last week, the other 2 are finishing college). And my Uncle Chick also, he and Aunt Mickey haven't been married for many years but I'm sure this will still be hard for him to hear.

Something I hope to remember to do every Wednesday is to announce...per flylady.com, that today is Anti-Procrastination Day!
I have started over with Fly Lady again this week, after quite a long break, I guess I'm finally in my Spring Cleaning mode! Anyway...if you are a follower of FlyLady, you know that This Week's cleaning zone is the Front Porch/Entrance/Dining Room area. Today's mission is to wipe down the walls and windows in your dining room (just don't wipe off your paint!). Then, Wednesday being Anti-Procrastination Day, you are to do something you've been putting off...anything like finish a paper for work, get those VBS nametags put together (guess you know what I'm doing today, ha!), clean out the fish tank, a gift you've been working on for someone, etc...anything you just need to finish.

So, let me know what you have been putting off in or around your home and GET IT DONE! You will feel great getting it out of your mind finally :) If you haven't heard of FlyLady or you have but aren't a subscriber anymore, just go to www.flylady.com and join up. It's FREE and you get the daily "missions" e-mailed to you everyday when you join the yahoo group. You will get other e-mails that you can just delete if you don't want to read them (testimonies, etc...). I usually just read the "Sneak Peek for the week" e-mail and the "Flight Plan for the day" which details each day. If you haven't tried this before, they suggest you start with the Baby Steps (listed on the website), which start you off very slow by getting your bed made every morning and cleaning your sink before you go to bed every evening...it's amazing how good this can make you feel! Fly Lady is a step-by-step program designed to help us get rid of the chaos in our homes, one little step at a time, it's not an overwhelming all day cleaning (which none of us really enjoy...well, I don't!).

And here's a great summer recipe for ya:

Bar-B-Qued Chicken Caesar Salad

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 bag of romaine salad (or 1 head, torn into bite-sized pieces)
Caesar Dressing
Bacon Bits
Croutons
Parm. Cheese

Pour 1/4 cup of the dressing over the chicken in a shallow dish and refrigerate for 20 min to marinate. Drain and discard marinade after taking out of fridge. Get your grill heated and grill chicken for 10-12 min. until cooked through. Turn at 5 min. or so to get both sides grilled. Cut into slices. Toss your lettuce, croutons, bacon, chicken and cheese with dressing (your choice how much to use).

This is a great, fresh summer meal. We ate it one night outside when our power was out, it was a perfect and filling salad!
