He is Enough

Sunday's message was incredible. We are starting 1 Thessalonians...we only got through the first verse but what God shared through Mark was just right. Below is a video of a pastor named Matt Chandler that our pastor showed during our service. He is a pastor in Dallas who just last Thanksgiving discovered he has a brain tumor. He is 35 and has a young family, a large church and a faith that I pray we all strive for. I am always amazed when people choose not to believe in God. When I look at my son, I see God. When I remember what we all went through at his birth, I see God. When I look at my Dad and all he went through last year, I see God. When I think of my aunt who didn't beat cancer, I see God. It's not just in the good times, it's in the awful times. That's when we need that hope of a God in charge of all, holding us in his hands. I see the hope in all of the times I just mentioned...why not believe? Why not have the hope to cling to in times of grief, hardship and trouble? It's beyond me why anyone would choose to cling to nothing or to themselves...it's just not enough. It's not beyond Him, though. He is enough if you let Him be.

If you have time, go watch the message from my church from this past Sunday at CWBC.ORG.
