3 Day - 13 week countdown!!

I am going on Thursday to have my foot x-rayed again and I'm praying that little pinky toe bone is healed so I can start training! I'm going nuts not being able to really walk as in training walk, I'm tired of telling J to "ooo, watch it!" in the pool, tired of sleeping on my left side so my right foot is up in the air more (I'm a side sleeper most of the time)...all for one itty bitty toe bone. So...I'm praying on Thursday, I get the go ahead to start :)

I finally scrapped our walk last year and while doing it, tears were in my eyes...and yes, this is when I really started wanting my toe to get better NOW...

the smiles we shared, gave and received, the tears we shared, the white tents from each city's walk that were completely covered with names of those who have not survived breast cancer, the blisters, the ibuprofen, the sweeper vans, the amazing crew members, the soldiers walking for their moms and wives (in combat boots...yea, all 60 miles!)...

If you have any extra funds this month, I would love for you to consider donating some to the walk. I have raised $855 so far, but still have $1445 to go. All you have to do it click on the link on the right on this blog and it will take you to my donation page. It's easy and quick and we all appreciate it more than you can imagine. I would love to put a name in honor or in memory on my shirts for someone you know who has battled cancer. They'll be in good company...with my grandmother, my aunt, my DAD....

"We walk because we must. We are strong because the journey demands it. Together in body and united in spirit, we lay down our footsteps for this generation and the next. This is our promise, a world without breast cancer"
